MSEP is an academically competitive tuition rate program at UW-La Crosse. The University will cap participation in the MSEP program at 60 students (including both new freshmen and continuing UW-L students). Only new freshmen will be eligible to enter the MSEP program. Transfer, re-entry, and graduate students are not eligible. Students ranking in the top 20% of their high school class and scoring a 27 composite or higher on the ACT exam or a 1300 composite or higher on the SAT exam will be stronger candidates for this tuition rate. The following undergraduate degree programs are open to Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) students on a space available basis. Applicants must meet the same admission criteria as any other student at UW-La Crosse.
Some programs have additional admission criteria, and admission to the university does not guarantee admission to a particular program. Status in the MSEP is renewed automatically for students who have a declared major, maintain good academic standing, a UW-La Crosse resident grade point average of 3.0 or greater, and continuous (fall and spring) full-time enrollment. Participation in MSEP is limited to five years.
